Have We Reached Peak Sneakers?
More and more German banks have launched their versions of white business trainers/sneakers. Examples include:
– Deutsche Bank launched a limited edition trainer for their 150th anniversary
– Volksbanken & Raiffeisenbanken released GenoSneaker 2.0
– BayernLB and
– KfW Ipex-Bank
On top Rishi Sunak recently apologized for spoiling adidas samba for cool people wearing them in an interview.
All this raises the question of whether the white business sneaker has peaked. And indeed, if you look at the online search traffic for the popular adidas sneakers (the dominant player in the German banking business sneaker market), the picture is clear:
