China Truck Sales to Russia Blow Through the Roof
According to the Central Bank of Russia, China appears to have significantly increased its truck sales to Russia as measured by new registrations. According to the below chart registrations of new Chinese trucks have risen to more than 6,000 per month representing more than 50% of all new registered trucks.
Up until 2021 Chinese trucks were practically non-existent in Russia it seems. So it is particularly interesting to note that the Chinese truck increases started in the first half of 2022 right at the time when Russia invaded Ukraine.
We are sure that this is just a coincidence…
